Breast Augmentation, Lifts & Reductions

Breast augmentation, reductions, lifts, and reconstructions can help a patient’s self-confidence and improve their quality of life. Whether it is to reduce back pain, remove sagging, correct nipple inversions, or address breast asymmetry, Dr Turner has extensive experience in these procedures.

Breast Reduction

Breast reduction surgery is a procedure commonly performed for women who suffer from the symptoms associated with large breasts, which include back pain, neck pain, & shoulder indentation from bra straps. There is an extremely high satisfaction rate associated with this procedure. This surgery reduces breast size and helps eliminate the symptoms of large breasts.

What's Involved

The procedure involves an overnight stay in hospital. Recovery is typically 2 weeks.

Breast Lift (Mastopexy)

A mastopexy or breast lift, is a procedure performed for sagging breasts. This often occurs as a result of pregnancy & breast feeding, or it may be from significant weight loss. The skin becomes stretched and the volume of the breast may also be reduced.

What's Involved

A breast lift, is a day case procedure under general anaesthetic. Excess breast skin is removed, and the breast is re-shaped to a more natural youthful appearance.

A bra must be worn post-surgery for 6 weeks. Recovery from the operation and return to work is typically 2 weeks

Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation, or breast enlargement is usually performed for patients who have small breasts, or have significant breast asymmetry, have lost breast volume after weight loss, or would like to be bigger breasted.

We use silicone breast implants which are of the highest quality. The implants are placed either under the muscle, above the muscle or a combination of both (dual plane). This is determined during the consultation between the surgeon and patient.

What's Involved

The procedure is performed as a day case under general anaesthetic.

Recovery time is typically 1-2 weeks. Patients can return to work within the same period of time. Avoiding any heavy lifting or intense exercise is recommended for 6 weeks following surgery

Nipple Inversion

Inverted nipples or hidden nipples, is a developmental condition. It is caused by either underdevelopment of the nipple, or often by tight bands that pull the nipple down into the breast. The operation corrects the inversion, and restores projection of the nipple, through a small incision under the nipple.

What's Involved

It is performed as a day case procedure.
